I'm tired!

Yes, I'm tired. For several years now I've been blaming it on old age, droop, poor blood flow, poor diet, poor air quality, artificial ingredients in food, lack of exercise or too much exercise, stress, hayfever, and a heap of other maladies that make you wonder if life is really worth living.

I haven't fully retired yet but I think the time has come to call it quits now, because I'm overworked. I know I'm overworked. The population of this country is 23 million, but 4 million are retired. That leaves 19 million to do the work. Then there are 5 million in school and a further 3 million in higher education. That leaves 11 million to do the work. Of this total, 1.5 million are unemployed and 5 million are employed by the federal and various state governments. That leaves 4.5 million to do the work. Take from that the 3.5 million employed by councils and the various state owned corporations, and that now leaves 1 million to do the work. Now there are 650,000 in hospitals and a further 349,998 in prisons all over the country. That leaves JUST TWO PEOPLE to do the work - You and me.

And you're sitting on your backside reading this. NO WONDER I'M BLOODY TIRED!!
