It seems a little over priced to me but I am no expert. The experts from my experience are Satplus in Melbourne and Queensland's Sunshine Coast. They have packages around $550. Great people to deal with and offered excellent after sales service to me even when I've been travelling interstate.Good luck with your decision making Paul.

We are not far from Melbourne Ken, and daughter Emma, who lives in the Melbourne suburbs, needs a couple of jobs done at her house, so will wander down to Satplus. They appear to be well thought of.
The only comment I have to add is on the dish mounting. Many forum members think that this is the harder type mounting to adjust. They seem to prefer the tripod with short mast. The rational is that you get the mast plumbed and pegged down first. After that the adjustment system is easier to use than shifting the on ground frame around.
How do the seasoned users find the two systems?

Price seems a bit dear, but i have been out of the industry now for just on 3 years, so have lost touch with the priceing.
As for the mounting, I use a trypod mount that sits on the ground and can be a pain to get the small mast vertical, the newer stands now have adjustments on all 3 legs that would make the setting up of your masting much more easyer.
I have seen some caravaners use a bracket of the draw bar to mount the pole and dish, and some have a dog legged mast mounted off the bummper of the caravan. Other people have the dish mounted on the roof of the caravan and these type are fully automatic in the alignment of your dish, some of these will make a mess of about $3000.00.
Paul if you are going to go down the Vast system also get a couple of long coax cables incase you have to park under trees for shade.

Aussie Paul.
SatPlus are second to none. Their service is first class.
Yep I have a Access unit and a marriage saver and tripod with adjustable legs, very easy to setup. Otherwise I have my dish mounted on a pole on front of van and just adjust it when we pull up. Only use tripod if we park under trees for shade.
As a seasoned traveller, I can only comment on what we have, and have seen. Tripods are the way to go, the set up on ebay is not a tripod. Our tripod has a bullet spirit level, which takes a lot of the guess work out of setting up. Each of the legs can be adjust individually to set the tripod level (very important) Once pegged down to the ground, the dish attached, it should not move. We have spoken to various travellers with dish attached to the roof, or to the draw bar, and they complain about movement on windy days.
We bought our set up from a dealer in Albany WA, a few years ago, through VAST, cost around $700.00, included dish, cabling, box, lnb, licence and set up (including marriage saver). Fortunately our van was already prewired for this.
Even better than the marriage saver is the satellite finder on wikicamps.
Good luck with what ever you decide
