Newbie wants advice on Hiace campervans

Thanks for adding me to your forum.

I'm a single female quickly edging towards 60 and am thinking of buying a campervan. I like the look of the VW but have heard they have too many problems, so am now considering the Toyota Hiace.

I would love to hear from Hiace owners (and others) to find out whether I should buy petrol or diesel. I would be buying 2nd hand (unless I win Lotto)

Billie

Welcome to the gang Billie, enjoy here and out in the playground.

Hi Ace are a great vehicle. In a previous life I purchaced many of them, only in a bus version. Very reliable and parts are readily available IF NEEDED.

Keep Safe on the roads.

Hi I bought a hiace in 2011  did the conversion myself except the poptop which cost $ 7000  have done 40000 km since new very happy with van and the reason I bought a hi ace was for its reliability just have a look at how many on the road etc .

Because it's used as a campervan I probably should have bought a diesel but at 4000k more wasn.t justified ! l

Anyway stick with a hiace you wont regret it .
