FNQ for a month

When the MV Trinity Bay docks at Seisa and I set up camp I aim to do a day tour up to the Tip and returning to Cairns by any means possible. Cairns to Cape Trib. with another camp out at Lions Den.

Any one stayed at this pub come  campground FNQ is a favorite of mine.

As a lot of you drive this part of Oz do any camp  grounds have notice boards offering a spot in a vehicle for some fuel money--any advise on this would be helpfull

I often get a couple of backpackers travelling with me more for company than fuel subsidies - I seem to have a bit of luck putting a note on Gumtree (Rideshare). Never have I seen any notices in Caravan Parks.

General notes for Ride -sharers:
Security and compatibility are always concerns with any strangers this is why I pre-plan to whom I've got in my car - You must be prepared to be up front and open kimono with prospective travelling companions - also Police should have some way of knowing with whom you are travelling - leave photo copy of their passport and/or licence details with reliable persons that will react if you are missing or out of contact for a couple of days.

Contact Lion's Den direct and speak to publican. www.exploreaustralia.net.au/Queensland/Cairns-and-The-Tropics/Lions-Den-Hotel/Lions-Den-Hotel
Mind you all sorts of weird and wonderful go through there, but most haven't got any room for a passenger.
