good morning, my name is Jen and hubby is rob. we have just purchased a second hand 2014 lotus, the van I always wanted. Getting her ready for our first holiday, we are having a couple of problems locating the pressure valve to adjust the water pressure on our shur flo pump, hubby keeps sliding under the van which doesn't seem right. And when pump is turned off and only using town water, the pressure is minimal yet if we turn pump on at it always uses the tank water not the water thru the hose...hope someone can help my poor hubby as he is going to get stuck under the van. Lol..
Hi and Welcome, the pump should only extract water from the tanks. To use mains water supply, switch off pump and connect hose to inlet supply point commonly located on the A frame. Usually at this point is a pressure regulating valve which could be the reason for a much lower pressure. These valves can vary in the amount of water pressure that can be delivered. An option could be to remove the valve and go to a Plumbing supplies outlet and purchase a different valve with a higher pressure rating however to test you could simply remove the valve and attach the supply hose to see if water flow is improved. I hope this is of some help to you. By the way for future technical advice post in the Techies Forum. Cheers Allen
Hi all
New poster here and wonder weather I landed in the right spot, as I like to Hike-Bicycle tour and absolutely love rail travel.
haven't actually got the camper yet but when I was barely 21 and got my licence I purchased an old Ford Escort panel van with pop up top and annex. Can't even start to imagine how many ks I did in it going fishing and to a girlfriend I had in the bush at Leongather.
