Mental Health Report

Hi all

As most of you know I suffer a depression, anxiety and all their mates, that at times gets on top of me.

I am pleased to report that (at last) I have found the correct medications for me. I have been stable for a long time now and that is great for me and my poor family who have to put up with my bad days.

I want to take this opportunity to name a few GNs who have been helpful, understanding and caring.

Plendo. Dave has phoned me to make sure Im OK. He is a top bloke

Dougwe. Enough said, love your style Doug

03 Troopy, the camaraderie is alive and well mate. Thank you

Jules and Billeeeeee, you guys rock my planet

There are many others who deserve a mention, so thanks guys you rock too.

To PeterQ, PeterD and the others I have crossed swords with at times, my humblest thanks for understanding and caring enough to let me back off and take stock, you guys rock as well

To Cindy, our dear ever patient webmaster. You have put up with some pretty ordinary posts (from me as well) and shown compassion and care when needed. Thank you

Merry Xmas folks, its a joy to be called a friend.smile

PhilC

Great news Phil, good to hear you are finally enjoying life almost as good as it should be.

We have never crossed swords and I hope we never do, you understand of course I have to live up to that award you presented to me?

A very merry Christmas to you and your loved ones and may the year of 2016 be kind to you.

Hey Phil. Pleased to hear you finally got the right meds to help you live a good life. Its a pity that mental health is a poor cousin still even though it affects 1000's of people.

Ive never met you or chatted with you, but never thought your posts here were "ordinary".

Hope life goes well for you and yours now and have a bloody, great Xmas Mate !!!

It can be a real strugle finding the right medication for you personally when it comes to treating depression. It becomes worse when all of the medications prescribed make you feel as sick as a dog on top of just wanting to bang your head on the wall to make that feeling go away. Then after you have persevered for the four weeks they say it takes, it has no beneficial effect except for still making you feel crook every day.

Been there done that, and unfortunately still have the black mongrel dog visit every now and again. But I must admit it's been much better since we moved into a caravan and changed our life style completely.

I'm real happy for you finally finding something that helps and being able to get on with your life.

Tom, thats almost word for word of my story. We bought our caravan and my life started to have less visits from the black mongrel. All came unglued when I had a panic attack in Auckland recently, it was then I told the doctor to increase my pristiq. Now feeling 100%

Take care buddy, I wish to hell I could shoot that mongrel dog and put it out of our misery.

Merry Xmas mate

Hi Phil,

Thanks for your kind words and Christmas wishes.

We all hope the dog stays asleep, and at worse yawns occasionally. Lol

Have a great Xmas and a happy and relaxing 2016.

Cheers, Tom

Thats good news Phil.

I hope anyone else who is having similar problems also has a trouble free holiday season and that the new year brings every thing that you could wish for as regards to your wellbeing

Thanks folks for the kind words and wishes. I too hope that dog drops dead, but alas, he may not. The good news is I now have the right combination to make him sleep.

Take care and look after yourselves. Good to see others caring.
