Gregory Development Road

Hello fellow nomads

I have just joined up. Mrs Mouse and I will be heading off from Tas during 2016 to go up and down and around the big island. But in the meantime I am heading off for a practise run bringing a camper back from the Isa to tassie for a friend.  I am considering going across to Townsville (I have old mates there) and then going down the gregory highway to Emerald from Charters Towers . Can anyone give me any advice about the state of the road, the traffic it carries (including nomads) and any campsites/gas stations before I get to Clermont? Would appreicate it very much. Thank you.confuse

Welcome from us Mouse

lots of info in here if you do a search. Ask a question if you cannot find an answer by searching. Lots of helpful people in here only too willing to assist.

Always someone in here willing to have a chat

you will get a much better response if you pop your question into the General section of the forum.

The polo shirts in the shop are really good quality, look great and are very comfortable too

enjoy the playground we call Australia.

I am sure the chief of cheer will be along soon to welcome you as well.

Frank

Welcome to the gang Mouse, enjoy here and out in the playground.

I spend Winter in Townsville and have got to love the place. OH! and the Cowboys.

As for the Gregory from Charters down to Emerald, no probs, just make sure you leave Charters with a full tank of juice as nothing along the way. A few rest areas along the way. Also a few road trains so if you have UHF make sure it is on and use it.

Keep an eye out for KFC here on the forum as he is president of the "off topic" club biggrin

Keep Safe on the roads.
