Satellite Stuff

We bought a Satellite dish & VAST encoder for our new caravan from "SATPLUS" in Victoria. A Maxview crank up dish.

Anyway we had the caravan builder install it as the van was being built, but when we got the van home we had a problem. No signal at all from the dish no

I contacted Philip from SATPLUS in Victoria (they are also in Queansland). Talk about a guy who couldn't have been more helpful. Philip was great, he even sent (at no charge) a new coax cable and extra connectors to bypass the possible faulty cables built into the caravan to help fault find the problem ($30-$40 worth not to mention the postage).

We worked out that there was a fault somewhere in the coax in the van.

A call to Adelaide City Caravans who I bought the van through and it was quickly arranged to have the van checked over.

Turned out there was a a problem in a coax connector right under the dish. All fixed and none of the cabling disturbed in the van.

A really big Thanks to Philip from SATPLUS and a Thank you to Michael from Adelaide City Caravans for getting it all fixed with no fuss. biggrinbiggrin
