John,

Really enjoyed your report and photos, particularly the pony. Looks like an interesting place to visit.

Thanks John for reviving my memory of that great place, good report, am at Pildappa Rock near Minnipa S.A.
Cheers & safe travels. thumbsup.gif

I'm enjoying these reports John as I have not yet travelled these areas of QLD, love the inland locations & looking forward to travelling through these areas that encourage freedom camps, all the best. biggrin

Hi there has been some trouble with this so called free camp at Hebel the council had fenced it off and some campers had taking the fence down so may be some problem . There is a cheap caravan park behind the general store , The general does nice meal at a good price

We are camped across from the No Camping sign between the bollards, along the river.

The caravan park behind the General Store offers sites from $10 per night but the free camp offers more appeal.
