RE: What Did You Do To Your Rig Today

I am currently in the process of installing a diesel heater in the van. A hold up has occurred due to not having enough ducting to reach the intended outlet.no

Ordered some and have to wait for a restock to arrive.... but after it arrives it should only take about 30 minutes to finish the fit-out and fire it up. Can't wait.

Slowly making headway with the wiring upgrade on the van including DC to DC charger and fitting the new 200w panel. The extra cable I needed arrived Friday so, I need to get to Bunnings and get the sealant/adhesive.

Weekend was tied up with the Baptism/Christening of our second grandchild Edwin. Had a lovely day.biggrin

Due to a variety of chairs that did not suit my back shape these days I have severe back pain and exhaustion today. Fortunately I can have a quieter rest day, AND plan for tomorrow's jobs!! biggrin

I use Nutserts, just like a pop rivet but have a thread in them ,just makes for a very neat waterproof job.and a bit of sealant for security.

The headlights were looking very tired so I got some of the headlight polish and now I can actually see the globes instead of that cloudy look. It actually works pretty good!!.

Now to pack it, top up the fridge and the water and get ready for my next flexi for a long weekend away..... WOOHOOOOOOO

I have finally mounted the 200 watt panel. Not glued yet as still too damp, BUT ok to head off around the 10th Sept for a couple of weeks if I don't get the gluing done.

Eril wants to visit the Yarra Glen, Dandenongs area for the flower festivities, and I want to test all the "stuff" I have done to the van.biggrin

Cos it has been so cold and damp here in Bright, I turned on the diesel heater in "Dunmowin" just to warm her up inside.  Only one week left, then we are off again.

I done nothing to our caravan, I rugged it up last week in preparation for being away from it.

Nice over here in Austria, no need for heaters. I am over wearing shoes so yesterday went into shoe shop, now own a pair of sandals made in the Ukraine, comfortable and I am not looking like a tourist with walkers and zipp of pants on all the time.

The son Dale and his wife Sonja like Tim Tams so our new shoes will fill that huge void in travel bags.

The photo below is what we are going to enjoy while staying in there home in Innsbruck over looking a river with the mountains behind when winter arrives that becomes a snow field off and on for the next couple of months.

aussie paul hi, enjoy your shake down tour with all your new components, we are looking forward to the end of January when we go down with our van to have a look about in that area in Victoria. Prime target is the Historic motor Racing at Phillip Island 1st weekend in March.

Dunmowin hi another chapter coming to an end, what is next for the Dunmowins?

we hope to take in Bright while we are down there in February.

Sorry ended up with 2 photos, I tried to delete one, back to the drawing room.20150829_121436.jpg20150829_121436.jpg

Hi Radar, enjoy Austria. Our next chapter includes wandering around SE Vic for a few weeks, Melbourne for a week, then Tasmania for 6 months... Always on the go.

As we are off to Tassie in Feb we sent the bus into the shop for a service, new oil, filters, coolant, belts & pulley, alternator, wheel bearings checked & greased and a wheel alignment. A lot more work than when I had a service done by Mercedes and cheaper.

Now just waiting for the Fan-Tastic vent to turn up, will fit that and that's it........Tassie he we come
