Heading towards Mackay

Hi Anyone know of a good place to stay for a few days in Mackay? Self contained motorhome doing it solo.

We stayed at The Park, just as you are coming into Mackay from the south it is on your right, can't miss the signs, we stayed there for 7 months and had no problems, very well run...........

Boulder Creek, North of Mackay, is a terrific spot, check it out in "free/budget camp spots" on this forum.

Boulder creek is VERY popular. Backpackers have found it but I will call in maybe Wednesday next week. heaps of room at lake Elphinstone. Just a shame about the weather.

Thanks D. In Airlie at the moment. Everywhere is no go for free camping. Not a RV friendly place. :(
