A young fellow a was angry as he had it in his head that someone had stolen his wallet so he dicided to get revenge and steel someone else's wallet .
He thought his best chance would be in church during mass, when everyone would be facing the altar and would be preoccupied in prayer and not notice .
He went to church but halfway through he had a change of heart and felt guilty about what he was about to do so he decided not to steal anything and instead put money in the plate .
After the service he approached the priest and told him of his bad thoughts and thanked him for his inspiration .
The priest was delighted that he had had such an inpact on the lad and asked which part of the service had changed his mind.
The young man said it was your sermon about the commandments and especially the one " thou shalt not commit adultery "
The priest looked at him quizzically
The young man said. " it was then that I remembered where I left my wallet "
