Winegard handle - learnt something new

Was so excited to have a wind up  TV aerial in this newer van - until the handle came off  the other day. Spent ages trying to get the grub screw back in to clamp it on again and gave up finally. confuseNice man in town had a look and explained that I needed an Allen Key not a screw driver - so now have a full set and have fixed the handle back in place!

Have slipped right back in to ASHOF - have been asked to look after the Gallery tomorrow morning!!!! Just wish I still had my comfortable office chair with meno

Hi Spida, now that you have the grub screw in nice and tight, if you put a small dob of silicone on top of the screw head it will stop it from vibrating loose during travel, can be dug out easily enough if you have to unscrew it at any time.

Same goes for the grub screws on wind up roof vents......smile

Good thinking - thank you. Was wondering how to grease the gears in the windup - instruction says to do it but not how or what with...... squirt of silicon spray up the hole?

Gday...

I got sick of getting knockbacks from van park owners when trying to borrow the use of a ladder to get to my van's roof.

So I lashed out and bought one of these -

Has been very handy. I have it fixed to the rear bumper of the van.

cheers - John
