Watch out for the elephants!

biggrin

Driving down the great ocean road with Frangipani today, talking about different things that our MH's will require, I stated that I must get some of the kangaroo whistle things. Hmmm, says Fran, they work really well, keep all the elephants away. So glad because they are something I really donor wish to encounter.

Needless to say there was much laughter as we continued on. She did tell me that she didn't see any elephants going across the nullaboar, so they do work. confuse

Shut the front gate! ELEPHANTS!

I think I will update mine to extra large ones now.

Wonder if you fit a "bug zapper" to the front of the tug if that will keep bugs away confuse

Reportedly they are as good at keeping roos out of the bullbars as those electronic rust gizmos are at stopping rust.

ok,ok, Shekon, so I had a mental block, maybe the start of Elsihmers? But in my defence those roos out west were as big as elephants. Not to mention the Giant camels LOL

Dougwe, you put that Bug Zapper on the front of your tug and let us know if it works. If it does I am buying one.

Yes it seems as if these things do work for elephants, as stated there has been no reports of moving objects being hit by elephants in Australia. Thanks Fran for the info. Off to the shop to buy some tomorrow.

Fran it was a great day and after many laughs, and exchange of information, we will be well and truly prepared for when we

"Leaving in our Motorhomes, Don't know when we will be back again, Oh Darlin I love to leave....."

Ok I will stop singing now.

I have had the Shoo Roo's fitted for about 20 years ( 5 vehicles) and they appear to work if travelling below 100KPH.

As they normally cost less than $10, I say hang the expence even if they are not as good as claimed.

Got cleaned up by a roo at Boundary Bend on the Murray Valley Highway (on the way to Mildura Country Music coupla years ago), so fitted the roo scarers once vehicle was repaired and I haven't had a problem since even tho there's a lot of roos on the roads around Benalla. I think they even helped when a big stag jumped across the road between Koetong and Corryong recently, he did a U turn and disappeared back into the bush. Dunno about effelants tho. ... Val
