Hi,

Well both the regulators will be both running at their limit if you do as proposed. However you will not get the max out of the panels sitting flat so that will be Ok probably. Having two regulator on a system is never ideal. But from my experience they will be OK and work in an ordinary way.hmm

Save up your pennies and buy a good MPPT reg which will do both and fit that in the long run wink Do the wiring to suit the future.

Exactly Jaahn, thanks. I am a bit of a "proof on concept" guy. I take the cheaper option until I prove everything works and the if and when the cheaper options fail go more up market. biggrin

Today I was able to get the 200 watt panel up onto the van roof. I changed my mind as to where it was going as I wanted to have the 15kg as far back as possible. This was achieved by putting it on the opposite side to where I had envisioned it would go. Using all the cable I had routed I believe it will be ok where I now have it. It was getting darkish as I threw a couple of ropes over in case the wind came up. So, now the 200 watt panel is feeding the Morningstar 15 amp controller and the 120 watt feeding the 10 amp controller. All I need now is some sunshine.biggrin

Tomorrow if I am up to it I will continue with the mounting of the 200 watt panel.

So, my productivity is slow BUT it is happening.nod.gif

Would this be suitable for sealing and gluing the alloy angles mounting our new solar panel?
