printer

Went to DS electrical  ,they had printers for a really good price ,I asked if it would be suitable for a tablet

,oh yes was the reply it is ok to operate  wireless

But what about Wi Fi from tablet wi fi  "yes  that will work " said the shop assistant ,

So I bought the wireless + wire type  as a good deal

Got home unpacked the printer and after three ph calls to shop and two to supplier ,

I discover that this great l printer deal  was not so great

the printer did not work from Wi Fi

A few dollars in day time ph calls and a return trip to the shop in town .

I still dont have a wireless printer.

Signed  .... annoyed  shopper

Sorry for delay Sheba -  It runs on a battery and is thus wireless. It is not 12V. It also runs on 240V if you have an inverter.

You reckon the printer is expensive, wait until you price the cartridges. There a few different manufacturers doing portable printers. The standard price of them all is over $400. The cartridges are not cheap and they don't hold much ink.

PIXMA iP110

If you want pages printed you can get many pages printed commercially from a memory stick or card for far less than printer prices. Out in the bush you have many telecentres and libraries where you can get plain prints made.

Tip - if you are using the quick reply box to type your reply then click on the "Advanced Editor" button at the bottom. This brings up the menu at the top. You type a name for your link and a word or two after it, highlight the link name (you must use the mouse and not short cuts,) click the underline button in the menu and then the chain link symbol. This will bring up a box where you can paste in your link YRL and click "Insert." Your links will work every time doing it that way.

That's a much better option for me.  Thanks PeterD.
