Inconsiderate people

Now I can put up with with a little noise etc but why do people insist on having a smokey fire going all day and night confuse Not only that the same people have a noisy older style generator running (anyone got any sugar) and a very loud sound system with monster speaker boxes. Thump thump thump. They are set up just to the left of the launching ramp and glenelg and I are just to the right, noisy and smelly as. furiousfurious  No No not Glenelg biggrin

Not only that but as well even they have set up about 1mt away from a fellow GN, not nice and very inconsiderate indeed. I will go as far as to say they are the noisiest group I have heard here at Greens in the 3 years I have been coming here.

Come the weekend when all the weekend warriors arrive I tell myself, self, they will be gone in two nights but unfortunately there is three nights of it this weekend (Labour Day Weekend). Thump thump thump. I think the Government needs to do away with long weekends. We as GN's don't get them disbeliefno

Maybe it's time for me to hit the road perhaps OR I'm getting grumpy and old confuseblankstare  Thump thump thump. Bugga.

Gday...

However, you hit on the solution in your closing sentence. That is the beauty of life on the road ... annoying neighbours? Move on.

Ya couldna dun that in Wonthaggi cry

"Life on the road" has many advantages ... a slow trip tomorrow northward will solve all the problems.

Cheers - John

Gday...

Perhaps a join-up at Wuruma Dam Doug  ... many are heading there over the next few days it would appear.

There are quite a few nice camps on the way to there - time to get the wheels of the Chief rotating

Cheers - John

The wheels might be rusted solid John. I have to get the Den serviced and a few items sorted under warranty first then a stopover south of Melbourne for a week then a house sit over on the NSW coast. After all that I can then start heading North. I have commitments in Penrith, Port Macquarrie and Byron Bay on the way. Phew! Who said this GN thing was easy confuse

Think I need a holiday hmm

Maybe you should start playing very loud opera or better still sing very loud opera. Perhaps get all the other grey nomads around you to join in with the opera singing. If it doesn't work to get rid of the inconsiderate neighbours at least you will all have a lot of fun.

Sounds like the mob next to me! The first night is always the worst, and they partied hard and loud, so hard infact that by 9pm last night you could hear a pin drop, yep they were partied out and didn't surface until after 8 this morning. Nice enough people, just very loud!.... The cars are super loud, the boat is loud and the motorbikes, generator, stereo's.....yawn

I always keep Tina Turner's private dancer CD as a reply to loud music or inconsiderate neighbours, had a Salvo paster turn up at "Pilaga bore" one time, when I was the only one in the "paddock", he up and camped next to me, within 3 mts and kindly informed me that they were having services in the morning and I was invited, "Tina" on loud and continuously, persuaded him otherwise.

I have no problems with his relegion but was pissed off at his lack of consideration in camping next to me in a paddock of a couple of acres, when nobody else was there, plenty of room to choose from but decided to "save" me, not saying I don't need saving but prefer to make a choice. The paster decided to take over the bore shelter instead, so denying the rest of the residents from accessing the pool without being in "saving" range, now that's inconsiderate.

The noisy inconsiderate people to the left of the ramp are still there and don't look like they are packing up yet, bugga. Hope they will be gone by tonight though.

Mmmmmm, Tina Turner hey, might have to do something about that. Don't mind some Tina now and then. Better not let the twins know that though disbeliefno

Then again some hymns from Sunday might just annoy this lot looking at them but I'm not judging any books disbeliefsmile  Nope, not this little black duck.

Hello people been a while since I've been on. Hope you're all ok. Just putting in my 2 cents worth on inconsiderate people. Can't stand it when we get parked in. Happens every year at Burren Junction too. I think some are afraid of the bogey man. I love music, just not the thump thump stuff late into the night. I hate the motor bikes stirring up the dust to and the noisyness. Must be getting old !!

Well, they have gone. All back to quiet again but the locals sure left some rubbish around the place but there is another thread going about that so no more said here.

Peace and quiet yep but quite chilly Frank. We had to abandon happy hour due to getting cold. I have been getting spoilt with the great warm weather at Greens for toooooo long for sure. Oh well, it won't be long and I will be up north in the tropics.

I had a workmate years ago that was having the occasional issue with loud noisy neighbours.

His solution

- Setup the tape recorder (you all remember those things biggrin) and tape an episode of the mayhem next door

- The next morning when next door are all feeling a bit fragile and precious, he setup his very large stereo system outside and played back the racket they created earlier (turned up to 11 of course biggrin)

Seems they soon got the hint wink
