ANOTHER WEEK DONE AND DUSTED

How,

Well Yeoeleven has left Greens Lake and headed further north and is currently awaiting the arrival of the "Love Boat".

In his absence he asked me to continue with updates so here goes.

Those that follow my updates that I normally put in "General" will know my style but due to being at Greens for a while and John doing his updates I saw no need to double up even though the styles are different.

Shut the front gate!  Another week at Greens Lake, central VIC has come to an end and all's well. Now for the weather. What can I say? WINDY, yep WINDY, not cold but not over warm either and some days have been a little fresh so those that venture into the water have missed out, me, I even missed out on my moonlight dip's just before bed time, bugga. I have been coming to Greens for 3 years now and never have had so much WIND and strong winds too with even stronger gusts. Never seems to stop.

Even with the weeks unseasonable weather we have still been blessed with great sunrises and sunsets so a big thanks to the weather gods for that but please sort the rest of the weather out, PLEASE.

Did I mention it's been WINDY???

Now the Australia Day weekend has been and gone with plenty to keep us all entertained with boats sinking, cars getting towed out of the water, yes cars. Skiers and people enjoying riding on biscuits and jet ski's as well. The last week has been much quieter with not a lot of campers around and I tell you that for free. Those that are here have all enjoyed the lake and many happy hours happening. Many friendships have been formed yet again.

There has been no real excitement during the last week but that's fine as it gives us all time to catch up on some minor repairs or additives to our set ups. I am no different and have added shade screens to the front of my awning and erected like an awning out front with two ends erected as well. This has provided heaps of extra shade and made a great outdoor living area even greater and all without loosing my great view.

A few more Grey Nomads have left and heading to their next destination/s and they will be missed as all very nice people and it was a pleasure meeting those I hadn't met before, keep safe out in the playground all. I hope "Rosa" Bob and Sally get their van sorted soon and then they can shower without fear of falling through the floor :)

On a personal note, you might remember I have been having problems with that WIND blowing out the gas flame on the gas fridge, well, I had to pack up the Arrow and take to Shepparton on Monday just gone to get that fixed. They fitted a new modified flu set up and after four days all seems to be going well at  last. I have been without the vans fridge since November 2014. I had to buy a Engel portable fridge to see me through. I have now rigged that up in the back of the tug. If I find I don't need it or use it much I will sell it. It was never in my original plan.

I also have a couple of little projects on the go to make life easier, well I hope anyway. One is wire up for my Solar Panel to add extra charge to my Van battery system and the other is to rig up wiring for running the Engel from the van not the tug. I will sort the tug out at another time.

My Chief Arrow is now performing as I want after the teething problems have mostly been sorted and I am now enjoying my new home. HOW, good is that!

I will start doing my normal updates in General again not here in the Greens Lake section.

I have included a few pics below.

So you think you can walk on water hey !  Well, go on then.

Mmmmmm, is that the Greens Lake monster ?

Ooooops, you can walk on water after all !  OR  Do we have lift off ?

Gday...

All seems to be progressing excellently, Doug.

And obviously you are getting the 'living environment' sorted out to your liking. Very spacious "patio"

Pretty soon you can get back into the proper GN lifestyle - laid back and relaxed.

Cheers - John

Hi Doug

You said you have problems with your van sorted out.

What was the solution for your fridge flame blowing out?

Paragraph 10 explaines it Laurie but they fitted a new modified flu system thetford are now fitting to the new model. The agent said that Thetford will probably replace all the faulty ones eventually. It looks the same to me but have been assured it is all hidded inside. All seems to be working OK now. "Touch Wood".
