Have had a nice couple of days, dropped in at Greens on our way back north, a nomad friend arrived and joined us at happy hour, then another friend arrived. Good to see them all, as well as the others we were happy houring with, probably won't see them for a while.

Moved on Saturday, now at Hay, Sandy Point - what a great spot, heaps of room, on the banks of the Murrumbidgee, toilets, bbq's, and close to town - about 1k, will stay a day or so. Sun is shining, fishing boats are out and a bit early for the speed boats an skiers, so nice and peaceful.

omg. sounds like a wonderful place.

Delivered the Club Lounge to Wallacedale, and now camped at the Branxholme recreation reserve. Went from Ballarat to Ararat, then south and had a coffee and lunch in Willaura, then onto Hamilton where I rang the guy to get the last lot of directions to his dairy farm at Wallacedale. He is refurbishing a caravan for the family.

Tonight at Wannon Falls west of Hamilton, some light rain BUT better than 40 or high 30s for me!!! No water over the falls at this time of year. Lovely and quiet now I have turned the generator off at 7.00pm!!!!!! Solar did not charge enough today to run my CPAP machine all night, so had to run Genny to top batteries up. Found the inverter wrecks our TV signal when in a fringe area. Really only need the inverter for my CPAP machine.

Almost 12 months since our first trip and no wonder I have forgotten things of a bygone era as I have replaced it with all I have learnt about our during the last 12 months, AND still have a lot to learn!!!biggrin

We came from Griffith to Gooloogong via Grenfell. Visited an ex GN friend, Dawa, she has finished travelling, and settled in a small place on a farm. She does the most amazing weaving, spinning and dying her own yarns, making a shawl at moment - truly beautiful!

Gooloogong is a small town with a small community caravan park, with power for gold coin donation. Also has hot showers. Great imitative for the town- pub across the road, and shop/post office just up the road.
Big storm last night, rain, thunder and lightning.

Fitted a Caframo fan to our van so we have at least some sort of a breeze when camped.

Was so bloody hot at Bingara a couple weeks ago and no breeze at all made for a restless night.

Mrs KFT said to do something about it so I did. Just hope this will be enough breeze.

We have two Camfaro fans, one at the bottom end of the bed, which can turned to cool the kitchen area. The other is over the front seat of the dinette, but we are thinking of putting one one the rear dinette wall as well

They are on sale
at Whitworth Marine on line for $139, which is what we paid last year. The normal price is now $199 .
You have to pay postage as well.

We think they are brilliant, especially the timer function, set it for two hours, by that time you are usually asleep.

thanks Jules,

I mounted ours just inside the door on the end of the cupboard. It can point at the bed or the dinette from there.

got mine at the special price too. It is on until march according to the website.

Sounds a good spot Frank, I will order mine when we get closer to Brisbane, if it gets delivered to my daughters before we are there, it could get lost in their
place - has happened before.

What is it with kids? I have two - 44 and 37 - daughter is the older, and she never has any idea where mail is in that house, loses things all the time - but my son has turned into the most responsible young man - he and his partner - very organised, never loses mail, opens mine up and rings me if I need to do something about it, or pays a bill and tells me later, they are that organised, they have their take away/home delivery menus in a folder, in alphabetical order!
Love both my kids heaps, and their partners.

Surf has been too big for safety on the far south coast of NSW. King tides - with king waves.

Raining all day today and we were getting a bit stir-crazy, so got the dogs, coats and boots, went out and found a new sense of the wonder of our world. The trees drip water in diamond droplets, no human noise, just the water-birds and a whip-bird, and the slosh of our boots. Ahh the serenity!

Ruth yes that's why we didn't go to the beach today... tide is high this afternoon.

I started to clean out my sewing room ready for new cupboards. It's going to be a long process. Hubby is building an extension to the deck. Even keeps working in the rain. No one would know he is retired.

Clean up and poison some weeds tomorrow.. Another exciting day to look forward to.

Today, sat outside and watch the surrounding campers and caravanners busy doing all sorts of things. Then made coffee and sat outside some more.

Spent a couple of hours wandering around the Serendip Wetlands at Lara, Victoria, and taking photos, then on to my niece's for lamb shanks for tea.
No charge to go into the Wetlands, just a donation. Plenty to see from Brolgas, Kangaroos, Emus, to Magpie Geese.

Still waiting on ours to come back from the dealer after some serious warranty work.

Don't matter much atm ....as I have discovered the noise I have been hearing for a cuppla years from diff area on Patrol has got louder...and I need to replace wheel bearings...so no tug atm.

Glad it has happened at home tho ....coz all the tools are here.

Cheers  Keith
