At last!

Back home at last after collecting my bus after its fitout. Not before some delays due to forms needed for its first registration as a motorhome getting delayed in the post, then Federal transport people not updating their database with compliancing details for Qld Transport to access, and finally an incorrectly wired relay in the solar charging circuitry which was flattening the bus's cranking batteries (dealer thought they were faulty and replaced them with brand new ones, so guess I can't complain too much!) A few bits and pieces to fit and then it will be ready for the playground.

Thanks everyone for your encouragements. Still have a few doo-dads and thing-me-jigs to fit but it's all falling into place for a full-time entry into the playground in the second half of next year, but I'll probably be jumping over the fence for a brief excursion or two in the meantime.

Safe travels to everyone over the festive season.

Hi Paul - haven't worked that bit out yet. I'll be heading off to Narromine in central NSW for a family reunion in August, and will probably then stick around the Rocky/Yeppoon region until the end of the year (licence is due for renewal in November so I can do that and change my address with Transport Dept to my sister's address in Brisbane). Will probably spend Christmas there, and after that .... just follow my nose.

Hopefully I can submit some interesting posts and pics - I've learnt a lot from Yeoeleven, Rockylizard, Shekon, Frangipani, Jules and many others, so I'm keen to try my hand at that, having spent the last 20 years writing about the sharemarket, company reports and other boring financial stuff!

Looking forward to meeting up with other GNs down the track.

Cheers

Yes Paul, I'll be around so would be great to catch up ... there's a few of us around this region, apart from Sheba.

Cheers
