How,

Great Bill, good job. It must feel good to have achieved the journey to the edge, don't fall over though. Be on the look out for crocs for sure but more importantly, wombats, they breed them big up there and their holes are even bigger, broken leg big.

Keep up the great reports and pics. I noticed you are tempting fate though with that bottom pic mate biggrin

Well done Bill, a remarkable trip.

I am envious but the old bus couldn't make half of the trip.

Luckily the guy who owns the roadhouse had a mig welder, and he fixed it for $150.He did me a great service,I wou;drecommendthe service. Staying in Coen tonight, and will head south tmrow. $2.45 a ltr for diesel at the Jardine river roadhouse Photo230.jpg! Bill

I like the way you have colour matched the boat and trailer Bill. Nice shade of red too.

Well, made it bck to Magnetic Island to get re magnetized. Everything is the same, and I have no mail. It was a great adventure, but I,m glad I don,t have to do it twice, Not any time soon, anyway. The car and slide on went great, but the boat trailer needs work. Will start work back on the new slide on as things settle down. Its good to be home. Bill

We did the PDR in August, it's a road you only want to do once, horrendous corrugation, no amount of dust & flying rocks, it was a relief to finally make it to the top but dreaded the return trip, although we did get to see Weipa & other places we didn't see on the way up.
We had to have our car detailed as I couldn't remove all the dust with my small vacuum, it was in every crevice & 'orifice' of car & body.
It was a great experience but it's a once in a lifetime trip that will probably never be repeated!!!!

Safe travels.

Chris.
