Paul, do your elec brakes work as they should? If so, I think you may have mis-traced your blue wire in pin 5, or both your vehicle and van plugs have been wired incorrectly. Pin 5 on the connector is designated as the Service Brakes pin and nominally blue in colour.

Ok Bob, the brakes work as they should, but I would like to understand how the electric brakes work so will do some Googling.
Somewhere along the Setec Aux charge wire the blue wire must be connected to it, but WHY? Bloody hard when the bulk of the 12 volt wiring is off the same Spool with NO markings as to what each cable does. Not that it really matters when all is going well, BUT when you have a fault or need to add components/devices etc. it is very difficult!!!!
Paul you can buy little plastic number sleeves about 6mm wide, numbered from 0 to 9 in strips and you can break them into single digits or multiable digits to make any number you want, just slide them on your wires before you terminate them
cheers

Ok Blaze, thanks. I am also looking at cable ties with tabs to write on. Son Matt just lent me his label maker so I can wrap them around the wire/cable and it sticks to itself.
I have now gotten anything done today as I knocked myself around yesterday in, around, and under the van!! Also did not get to sleep until 3 this morning and had to sleep though to 11 to catch up.

Yes Bob, you got it, I have mistraced the blue wire!!! So my next post of FACTSis also incorrect, as I am never wrong!!!!
Try to multitask is not going well. Grandchildren excitements and working on van not productive at all. lol
2. why both pins 9 & 7 are connected to supply Setec aux input?
3. how I am going to get tug power to pins 9 & 7 to charge house battery when travelling?
4. Pin 2 has a wire to it from the tug but it has no power at any time. I could jump pins 11 & 9 together then fridge and Setec would have 12 volts, but would the wiring handle both?
I started again with an open mind and the advice on here, and finding my mistake with the blue wire!!! Put the keys in the Pajero to have my Ipod playing and set to work. Why both pins 9 & 7 are connected to supply Setec aux input. Well, I connected my long wire to the disconnected Setec Aux wire and went with multimeter to the other end of long wire and van 12 pin plug. Continuity to both pins!!!! Started opening the plug and found some strands of wire connecting the 2 pins!!!! Now did I do that on purpose many months ago and forgot about it or was it an accident. My fault, I NOW remember doing it for a reason that now escapes me!!!!
A song on my Ipod started to stop and start and I thought that is strange. I have a look and Pajero dead flat!!! Last Wednesday I picked up some pallets from Matt from his work and brought the pajero back here and backed to the van so I could connect the 12 pin plug for my continuing testing process. Apparently I have not locked the pajero since then and the rear door was not completely locked leaving an interior light on and having the doors open listening to the Ipod probably did not help!!! So, my dc charger is on the Pajero while I am working and listening with the doors closed!!!
For testing purposes I have shifted the number 2 pin van wire to the larger pin 9 and jumped it across to the fridge pin 11. Once I can start the Pajero I will find out of that will charge the house battery through the Setec as well as run the fridge with the engine running. I may then need to run a dedicated tug wire to the Setec aux through pin 9. Wonder if the Pajero is charged yet????
I am sure you are ALL sick and tired of my ramblings!!
Aussie Paul.

I'm due to pick up a 2010 Jayco early in July for my first big lap ever, and mate after looking at the photos of the wiring and reading about all the dramas you have had to go through to find out what was what, I have decided never ever to touch the wiring on the Jayco. Lol
What a mess to sort out......unbelievable.
Cheers,
Tom

I had a thought but it got run over as it crossed my mind.
I know this is an old post, but I spent most of a day trying to trace all this wiring. Hoping this post will help anyone trying to sort this out.
First of all, I have a 2023 Jayco Wren caravan running a Lithium battery and a J35 BM Pro battery management system, but Jayco still use the same wiring connections.
The Pink and White wires on Pin 9 and 10 are connected directly to the fridge and NO WHERE ELSE! On your vehicle, 10 (white) needs to be grounded and 9 (pink) needs to go to either the vehicle battery or your vehicle back up battery. Note that fridge will flatten your vehicle battery in a few hours if you park for a while (found out the hard way).
The black wire on Pin 2 (7 pin side) is indeed the battery in van CHARGING WIRE, and goes under the van to a mash up junction point under the floor near the fridge. From there it splits into 3 wires. One goes in to the Electric Brake wiring harness. No idea why, unless its for breakaway brakes that the Wren doesn't have, but doesn't make sense as if the van broke away there would be no power to supply the brakes anyway.
Another goes into the rear light wiring harness. No idea what for as there is nothing back there to power from the battery, unless its for Jayco Reversing Camera.
The third connection goes to the "AUX" 12V Charging input of the J35 Battery Management System.
The reason I was studying these wires is that on previous vehicles I have used Pin 2 of the 7 pin Trailer connection (normally described as Aux or Reverse Lights) to power a Reversing/Rear View Camera, and wanted to replicate this on the Jayco.
Note, the method detailed here could also be used to allow pin 2 to be used for reversing Lights.
The reason that Jayco separated the fridge and the rest of the caravan wiring, was to stop the caravan fridge from flattening the caravan battery. With the battery management system installed on later vans, this is not possible anyway. Power goes from Pin 2 to the battery and not the other way.
So, I cut the black wire at the junction point underneath the van just before it split into 3. I then run a wire from the back of the fridge (pink wire) connection through a small hole in the floor to the 3 way split side of the cut black wire under the floor. Original connections are now restored and battery will charge from tow vehicle.
Then I was able to use the cut black wire coming from the 12 pin plug to power my reversing camera.
This forum and others was how I found out my caravan battery wasn't charging from my vehicle over the 3 times I have taken it away. Thank god previous owner had installed a solar panel on the roof.
No two caravans come out of the factory built/wired the same - they say it is because all customers want differing specs - really it because they use unskilled labour that couldn't read a wiring diagram - so they don't produce one.
A competent auto electrician is your best bet to solve wiring issues.
