RE: Greens closed New Years Period 29/12/14 to 01/01/2015

Juergen, we could all park outside the Corop Store, there's plenty of offroad parking there.

Seriously though the way I see it, we or at least I will be there before NYE and would have been there for some time. Just prior to NYE the people in charge will come around and tell us what we can or cannot do. We will do what we are told. End of matter, and if we can't stay overnight we will come back when they open the gate. Simple.
They just might make allowances for the seniors public already in there and allow us to stay, who knows?

Hi there Marj ..

As an alternative should it be considered, what was the other spot we looked at in the early days before we went to Greens .. ?

Remember .. it was pretty wet at the time and we couldn't really get on the ground ..

Forgot what the location was called .. (it wasn't aysens reserve ..)

I'm trying to think of the name of the town Jon, It was on the Murray heading out on the Swan Hill Road.

I think you're right .. I seem to remember you saying you had been out there with some rellies or friends .. when I went out to look at it, it was so wet I was only able to get part way into it before turning around ..

If I remember .. will post it .. thanks Marj !

yes .. thats it ! .. thanks guys ..

I remember another thing now about the area I looked at .. it also had too much "through-traffic" there .. would not have been suitable.

There are other parts to the "Island" but I never got there .. thanks again !

Gunbower Island, whole area is nice but it is swampy/low in some parts. Love camping along the Murray and Goulburn.

Hey Jonathan you sure do need to have plenty of supplies especially drinks when camping in the forest. Even a small amount of rain can turn the tracks to mud and you just have to stay until it's dry enough to get out.

God bless, froggos

The last paragraph says it all John. Any persons found in the reserve during those dates WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION will be penalised.
Maybe they will be allowing some to stay with authorization.

Very interesting to Read the Last Paragraph..

Any person found in the reserve
between these dates without
authorization will be penalized.

I think that says it All.. If we could get Authorization to be there....

That will be the Kicker...

Especially if they wish to bring in this new Plan of their...

If they decide to closes the gate, lets see if we can get permission to be there..

Juergen
