Success today to have the back of my chair more upright with the bracket I constructed. I can now have it in the exact position for my particular back problem. Pics also show how I raised the chairs to fit Eril and I. Now I can make some "proper" spacers and finish the job.
Now we have to work out what we are going to do with the area that was the back of the club lounge on the wall above the wheel arch. Maybe a shelf and tri fold table. At least now more useable than before. I also fitted the second battery today and measured the length of cable to parallel the batteries up.

slightly different chairs and without 1000 cords everywhere.. lol
I've never sat in a comfortable caravan seating ever... oh, cept one time at a caravan show where they had recliners in their vans but I can't think which brand it was now..
why don't caravan builders get that we need comfortable seating?
and some of the colours of the materials are ghastly... it's like they are stuck in the 60s or something...
I was lucky enough to sit in said chair and have decided my new Den will have at least one of those chairs. I was actually thinking maybe one side of a club lounge with a recliner the other side.
Paul, is the dalance of the van effected at all?
Maybe you could turn that wall into a feature wall and put a bit of laminate or timber grain ply over all those plugged holes. If the changes I make to get your end result ends up with plugged holes I reckon that's what I'll do.
Another thought is a narrow cupboard with sliding doors that could be a sort of pantry or storage for small items. That would cover all those wires and tidy things up a bit.
Just take things easy mate, as I know you would.
Great job.

We did the same, pulling out the club lounge and fitting bookcases cut to size along the wall and just use boards to cover the front of them. Holds all the light things, maps etc. We have a small table we use inside and outside the van rather than the fitted table as the bookcase is enough for coffee cups.

Yes Blue. Jayco have told me to keep the club lounge for when we want to sell the van as they only sell 3 vans a year with lounge chairs, and they sit in their yard for months, also reckon a loss of $10k!!! I reckon I will make money selling it with the lounge chairs. The manufacturers are so way behind what the baby boomer market is now requiring.
