Hi Everyone, Finally we are Gray Nomads almost, we have just bought a 2008 20ft Roadstar van. We will be leaving Cairns in September for the big lap. I have been viewing this forum for many months and have gained much information. However the greatest pleasure for me is, just for laughs, with particular thanks to gunsondeck and vic41. I really get a great belly laugh from their jokes! Look forward to keeping in touch with you all.Cheers Kevin & Eiko
......and a big welcome from me too Kevin and Eiko, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I have only just yesterday emailed Roadstar in Adelaide for information about their vans. I have been sufing the net looking at vans and keep ending up back at them. I must be being told something. How about popping some ins and outs pics in "show us your rig" please.

We have been sooooo busy trying to dispose of our belongings, garage sale, lifeline, and just giving our stuff away to friends. Plus dealing with painters and real estate agents, (we will be renting our place), organising direct debits and redirection of mail etc, etc. That this is the first time that I have had to check on our thread? is that right. Anyway gave my notice at work today, yehaa and getting really excited now! It was a huge step to stop work and seek adventure but now I feel as if a large weight has taken from our shoulders. Thanks to Everyone who has replied and I will keep in touch. See you on the road Kevin & Eiko
Hi Doug, I will post pics asap, all my research and actually talking to Roadstar owners plus that this is a two person van with a layout that suited just two of us convinced me that this is what we wanted. The reason I brought this Roadstar ( Haven't named her yet) is despite being 6yrs old and being in the rain at Ravenshoe and generally neglected the van was in top condition. I just hooked her up and took her to a more caring place being Myself and Eiko Cheers Kevin

So what the hell happened? Here we are in 2016 having travelled 35000 klms down the east coast, though Vic and Sth Aussie ( love Sth Aust ) up the centre and down the West Coast. We are presently in Albany having a look around before heading east. We have had a fabulous time only marred by the occasional bloody generator. I could write pages about our travels, but all I will do is echo the old hands. You will never be ready for the big trip, so just go! Eighteen months on the road and we are still changing things repairing stuff and changing how we live. If I can get off my fat arse I may post a couple of articles. I have found that while travelling nothing else matters, bloody economy, bloody tax return, hate it all. Any way on that note I am going to sign off. Early start tomorrow going to the Farmers Market and then the Whaling station. Cheers Kevin & Eiko
