And this country amazes again.

Have come in to check out a little spot called Cranky Rocks recreational area. Wow what a wonderful spot. Powered site $15pn, no water, must bring own drinking water. Showers and toilets. I have chosen unpowered at $10pn due to the fact that the power is really only for a couple of RV's and really close to each other. There is already a caravan here, so thought I would not crowd them or me and chose to go a little further away from them. There is plenty of sun for the solar anyways.

The birds, wildlife, and scenery is superb. Have been out clicking away and will post some pics later. A wonderful spot.

It is situated around 5k's from Warialda, on the Inverell Road. NSW. Great spot.

Just recently we stopped at Swan Brook Rest Area between Inverell and Glen Innes. Would thoroughly recommend it if you travel in that direction from Cranky Rocks. I have to say I am sorry that we missed that one when we went that way a few months ago

Totally agree re the Swan Brook rest area. We stayed O/N about 7 weeks back and think it is just dandy.

Walked over there yesterday Steve. Perfect spot today with a book, some lunch and the camera. It really is magic.

That 3rd pic is very nice indeed Sharon, would look spectacular when that rock on the right is wet with those colours in it. Looks like a nice day there too.

It was Frangipani. Now I am back in internet coverage area I will download my other pictures. It was a beautiful spot, in fact I had to leave my picnic area as it became too hot and I got sunburnt. Pure bliss.
