We are joining the GN ...

Hi there

We are novice Grey Nomads and just set off on our first trip . Had a few hiccups already LOL .

We have a Dual Cab , towing a Single axle Van.

We are ultimately heading to Alice and Uluru then up to Darwin. We look forward to lots of hints and tips to make our life easier.

One of us is a Broncos supporter and the other an AFL Saints supporter. Don't hold that against us !!!!!!!

Do we need to book Uluru and Darwin in advance ???? and any good suggestions of camp sites .

Cheers

Tuggerandme

Hi Tuggerandme

Welcome. You will get some great advice from some well experienced GNs on here.
I know I have - and we have travelled for some years all over the place.

I always book ahead if I can - to make the trip more enjoyable and relaxing.
Requesting info on here for your next appox stopover can be really helpful on here.
You will find one of the many GNs here has stayed there already (or near by)
Smartphones etc and the Camp book are also really helpful and can give you those details.

Hope you enjoy your trip and safe travels. Its a big country and lots to see.
Go Qld...

Have fun

KT

Welcome Tunnerandme.  Can't comment on Alice, but Darwin appears to be like the Queen Street Mall at peak hour.  Fortunately for us, we have rellies and are camped up out of town a bit, but when we go into Darwin, there are vans everywhere.....
