Bluewater Park north of Townsville

Monday and we left Elphinstone with a view to checking out Bowling Green National Park.

We called in to the National Park camp at Bowling Green but found it a bit too small and if Paul backed his caravan into one of the spots he would have to park his car in the official car park. Not at all convenient so we decided to chance it at Bluewater and here we are camped next to each other and likely to stay until Thursday morning.

I was able to find the Toll depot to collect the new 2.6KVA generator, there were three depots and a maintenance outlet all Toll and all in Toll Street. After several attempts I was able to find the right one and off to Bluewater.

Haven't read up and filled it up yet but tomorrow will get into it, the main thing is that I could fit it into the pace from the old one. I had measured it up carefully but often am a bit slack about the finer points but not this time. I now have a 1KVA Engel generator for sale and intend to put it out tomorrow with a price of $400 on a table next to the drive in.

Tuesday and I was left to keep check on the campsite whilst Chris and Paul went to Townsville for a few shopping items and to explore. I had things to do with generators and wanted to get them done.

The first thing was to get the Engel genny advertised and up for sale. Not a very good sign but overall effective. Sold within a couple hours for $350.

The next job was to get the Kipor out from its squeezy home and read the manual to get it started, all went well with the oil and petrol but it said that it would take 6 pulls to get the petrol up into the carby, yeah right, after many pulls and me thinking something was wrong it burst into life.

So I then spent the day moving solar panels around, relaxing, taking a few photos and reading a book. I have been here several times and have posted pics on previous links.   John

Looking good there John - good luck with the genny sale.

We are in Port Hedland at the moment, having spent several days at De Grey River camp - heading to Marble Bar this afternoon for a few days - moving very slowly south, as it is quite cold down there still.

Yep.........  !    having a good camping run , no rain

A dam good camp experience has been had by us three.

Two day camping restrictions  are a bugger.

Cheers  to all those GN on the track.

note for campers new to the area .

Bluewater  camp site is truly a busy place

be here well before  noon to get a site........  coolish  shower.

internet fair reception. water  is good

hey.... this place called  T'ville   is huge,  lots  to see.

The Townsville area  does not offer  an abundance of facilities for campers

Two day stay is monitored regularly.  be aware.

Cheers  from  Paul  and crew
