Am researching on-line all the time so when I can get on the road I will have an idea on what type of rig I want. Like the reviews on the Baily Caravans (UK Brand) that are selling in Australia and made here for our conditions. I'd be solo so would need only the smallest model and then would have a vehicle to so sightseeing in around and area while leaving van parked.
Any advice or experiences on solo travel, rigs - van versus moto-rhomes would be appreciated.

hi and welcome to the playground. I do not know if they have shower and toilet. in the middle of winter and at night it sure is nice to at least have toilet in van.
I had one of the European vans and thought they were great, not much room and if it has a combined shower and toilet again not much room. In the end I sold it and upgraded to something a little more special as I am planning to stay in the van for a few years and explore the country. My one suggestion to make there appear to be more space is to take the large table usually designed for 4 people to sit around and either make one that can fold back to seat 2 or if you are unable to make the table because of constraints in the support department, you could just replace the large table for a small one. Easy done on most vans.
Hi, we have just bought a used Bailey , it's a 26' tandem which is a lot bigger than your after , but i thought i'd just throw in a comment as to the build quality which appears excellent , l don't think you you'd be dissapointed with one, they're light to tow for their size and include lots of good features standard ( double glazed windows etc )
Unfortunately i can't advise you whether to go for a van or motorhome , as thats personal preference really.....both have their pro's and con's , as you mentioned the vans you can unhitch and do sightseeing, shopping etc .
There's heaps of options out there re designs of layout etc , the internet should be able to help you out there, good luck with your search !
Thanks for that - I think I would prefer the caravan option as have a feeling I'd stay longer in places I like so would have the car to buzz around. Good to hear that you have an actual Baily

Good idea on smaller table - many features I don't think I'd use so may end up adjusting to suit myself. We are all different in our needs and I guess using a rig soon lets you know what works and doesn't - maybe I'll try a second hand one to start.

Yes they have the combined toilet/shower - small and compact.

Check the size of the water tank. We met a couple who loved their Bailey (which had a shower/toilet) but it only had a 60 litre water tank. Not really enough for drinking as well as showering if you want to free-camp for a week or so. They told us the newer ones would have a larger tank.
