Finally we are spending a few days near Greens. We decided to try Aysons Reserve first. Beautiful spot. Try Greens next.

After spending 4 nights at Aysons Reserver, and taking a trip to Greens Lake while I was at Aysons, I am now convinced hat Aysons is the better location.

However, as beautiful as it was I must say I was disappointed at the lack of respect some people have for the needs of others. Over the 3 days and 4 nights of our stay there was one individual who had a noisy genie running late into the night. Yes, it was cold but if we were able to survive and stay warm with a 110 ah battery serviced by a 130w solar panel (and even managing to watch the Bombers come out victorious over the Power) why is there a need to have such a beautiful place spouted by the should of generators at 10PM and later?

One other younger couple pulled up with a trailer fitted out like a disco and proceeded to play music (loud and long). Thankfully the music was at least enjoyable

I prefer Aysons Reserve over Green Lake. Aysons has a toilet block and dump point. No rubbish bins and no drinkable water. Green Lake has a toilet block, water and rubbish bins, no dump point.

It is not too hard to take nice pics at this place Sarg.

I think you are right Big Gorilla... from what I have seen Aysons has a lot more character... (IMHO)

Where is Aysons Reserve in relation to Green Lake ?

And can you stop at Lake Cooper where the water skiers have a set-up?

Some years ago, before that first group gathering at Greens, I did go across to that "skiers" campground at Lake Cooper to have a look around and stayed there a few nights ..

There were no scheduled events at the time .. the cost was $25.00 per person per night and the quality of the ablutions and showers were quite unacceptable ..

Whether it's still open to the public, I do not know .. but would hope there have been improvements made in the last 4 years ..

.. cheers !
