12 volt lighting

We have just replaced caravan 12v light bulbs with LED (0.2A; 2.7w) bulbs and wonder if anyone can tell us how long one light would run on a fully charged 12v battery.

Marian, it would depend on the Amp/hr rating of your battery, and to a certain extent, the type of battery.

That said, it would still be a fairly long time.

Well at .2 amp it would run for 5 hours for 1 amp.
with a 90 amp/hr battery theoretically about 450 hours.
Be less than that but it would last quite a while

Welcome to the gang marian, enjoy here and out in the playground.

Your lights should las a few days at least even with all on, they don't use much power at all. They are the bees knees in globes.

Hi marian,  Welcome to GN, enjoy your time here.

You may want to post tech questions like that in the techies section, you will get a lot of replies there.

thank you all for your input. I'll try putting on the techies section if I can work out the battery info first. You have all help alleviate my husband's nervousness of "you'll flatten the battery if you leave the lights on any longer"so thank you. Marian
