Welcome to the forum kimhaus. I can't help you with your question but I am sure you will get the answer you want.
You might get quicker answers if you ask your question in the techos corner. Good luck ... Alan.

Welcome to the gang kjmhaus, enjoy here and out in the playground.

Not sure about the stone guard but I have a 12v DC-DC Ctek Smart Charger hooked up and reckon it's top stuff and I tell you that for free. I have a 100ah battery on board and a 120w Solar Panel that I move around following the sun and over the last 18 months I have found it kicks in around 9am and is off around 11.30am - 1.00pm, battery fully charged. All electrical on board is now 12v with no problems. I will just add I have heavy duty cable all through and from the panel and car. I don't believe there is any such thing as over kill when it comes to CV's and 12v, IMO.

Hello kjmhaus,

We have just bought a Stone Stomper. www.stonestomper.com.au and we are leaving in a few days to travel to Tibooburra, White Cliffs and Broken Hill. We spent some time researching which product to buy and this trampoline mesh type seems to be the best. I cannot find a single negative comment and lots of good comments. Other products seem to be still allowing stones onto the van and even shooting upwards and breaking the car back window.

The  purchase went very smoothly, the email contact was excellent, replies to our questions within hours even on Sundays. It arrived within a week of ordering from SA and seems to be very well made.

We will report how we go on the rough roads.

Good luck with your search.
