I was hoping to be able to see a cessna grand caravan and 172, I saw the 172
but unfortunately no caravans, (Cessna Grand Caravan 208b) like I fly in fsx..
Also unfortunately the wind was shocking 50 -60 knots and the planes were grounded
I think they were coming from Mount Everest , it was like trying to walk an expedition!
But they made up for it with a great static display of planes and plus in the hangers I got to see some of the flight sim
controls in use, like the ones I'm hoping to get soon..
I did how ever get to see one of my favorite big birds , the DC-47, she was huge and I got to go inside and
have a look, didn't get to sit in the c.o.c.kpit but still was great having a look around and talked with a couple of
the pilots that fly her, and helped restore it...
I wanted to see the area where I have my planes in fsx but that was locked up due to the air show,
might go up again one day and see if I can have a look ..
Over all it was a good day, but pity about the weather..

It is always a shame when the weather dampens all the work volunteers put into public events. Having been flying since I was 12 I love airshows. I performed with my gyrocopters in the very first Avalon airshow, and several after that.
