Just joined forum as newbies!

Hi all! We have just signed into this forum for the first time. Our home is up for sale and we are about to purchase a 25Ft caravan and Ford Ranger 4x4 to pull it. (Both used vehicles)

I'm not sure how to introduce ourselves but we are a recently retired married couple and have adopted our avatar name as Gemangi on this forum.

We intend living in the van full time, both in caravan parks and free parking. I've been taught to be cautious, so we are going to remain in Adelaide (Our home town) for about twelve months getting used to the lifestyle of permanent caravan living. We'll make short trips for awhile around SA while we get used to the big rig before adventuring further afield.  I have towed a 16ft caravan around for years so not unaccustomed to travelling with a caravan in tow. I suspect that towing are much larger rig will be very different so hence the short trips.

I have many questions to ask, but I will leave them for now as they may be answered as I browse through the many posts on this forum.

Cheers for now.

Gemangi

Welcome to the gang Gemanji, enjoy here and out in the playground.

Nothing wrong with small steps to start with as it will build your confidence for sure and you will gain good experience and maybe even iron out any little bugs that me arrise. Just be careful of wombats is all I say my friends.

As you say, have a good look at all sections of the forum and ask or contribute away in the appropriate section/s.

Welcome from us as well Gemanji. Hope you enjoy the forum as much as we do. Introduction is perfect.
Like Dougwe says join in the fun. If you don't ask questions you will never know what help is available to you.
We still have not purchased a van as yet but I reckon by the time we are ready to buy we will be able to hit the road knowing
that we are armed with the right info to do it. All from the great people on this forum. ENJOY.

Thank You for your warm welcome.

We still have not purchased a van yet, but are keeping an eye a 25 footer. Need to sell the house first. It's on the market.

The choice of vehicle to tow it with is still a matter of concern to us but we are thinking Ford Ranger 5 cyl 3.2L or maybe a Navara.

Price is a large factor.

Kind regards, Graeme (Gemangi)
