Another Newbe!!!!

Hi everyone. Name is Peter, but I answer to just about anything. SWMBO is Christine, and we have been married for over 40 years (most of it happily). After lurking around on this site for a few months, we have finally decided that you are a friendly lot, and have come out of hiding.biggrin

I am a recently retired mechanical engineer, currently extending/renovating our house in order to maximise the value when we sell it to start wandering. We had a good taste of the nomadic lifestyle by starting our married life in a 24 ft caravan I designed and had built by Newlands back in 1973. We traveled around with that and a Ford F150 tug and 2 motorbikes, for about 5 years. Stopped when we knew our family was expanding, but always with the intention of doing it all again when we retired.

So, our knowledge of life on the road is a bit rusty, but I am sure you good people will put us on the right track if we start to get lost. We know some of the country has changed just a little bit over the past 40 years, so we intend to do it all again.

That is it for today, don't want to put you all to sleep.

I am sure our questions will start coming soon.

Regards

Peter

Thank you for the welcoming words from Ballast2, Dougwe, Russue, RosieW, Sherio and Mongrel.

I am sure we will eventually get to meet some of you in person.

Anyone coming to Hobart, give us a hoy and the kettle will be hot, or the beers cold.

Regards

Peter

Welcome from us too PJK. I'm sure you'll enjoy it all over again and because it does change out there, it will look new all over again. We've been getting out there with our van for over 38 years and always find something new.
