Back in the Mount now after a wonderful trip up North. It is cold and raining and I am ready to pack up and head north again. So many wonderful memories were made with the grandchildren, that they will remember in years to come, hopefully with fondnest. So many laughs, nearly tears, and just a great time had by all. This country is so vast and wonderful and the sights to see are never ending, makes me wonder why I really want to go overseas again.

Had good and one not so good experiences with caravan parks, the MH was certainly a good experience despite some set backs, meeting other travellers was great, and once again had a couple of not so great meetings, still it all goes to make up the fabric of life.

My good intentions of taking an hour a day to update my blog went south, so I will sit down over the weekend and try to post some pics and memories on there for those interested and as a record for the kids mainly so they can show their friends. As the days go on I will also put down my thoughts on the caravan parks and the best bits for others to try.

As a start I was really excited when we pulled into the Yulura Camp ground and we were backed into a caravan there with a wombat on the back. I thought wow I am going to meet our wonderful Wombat, and then I looked at the signature and it was "travelling bare" and so thought maybe not, the Wombat I have come to know via this forum, so had a bit of a chat with this lovely couple, and then did not see them again to have further conversation. If this couple are members of this forum and read this a big thankyou for being so gracious with my lack of reversing skills and parking me in the right spot. Yulura was a great spot, very busy because of the school holidays with large school groups in, they were contained to areas but made the laundry and interesting place. It was certainly a dog eat dog world there vying for a washing machine and dryer. I could have stayed there quite happily, as I love this area and it certainly made for some great memories as we explored the area around the Rock. Also have to say they had the best dump point we came across also, with plenty of running water, a handbasin complete with soap and excellent cement area surrounding the actual dump area so one is not covered in red dirt. Arrr the joys of the dump site when the teenage grandsons have had enough of being the pee boys. Certainly made for another excuse to laugh so much we almost peed ourselves right there and then.

More stories and adventures to come as time goes on.  Another huge thankyou to all on here that contribute because it gave me so much information and knowledge on what to expect and do as we travelled so made life easier.
