Bluewater Park

Left Saunders Beach and drove the 12kms up to Bluewater Park Camps6 #39 to meet Steven who had hitched down from Wallaman Falls, he had phoned me yesterday leting me know his movements.
Those who have been reading this forum for some time may remember Steven the German backpacker hitch hiker whom I gave a lift to at Northampton just north of Geraldton in WA and we travelled together until Katherine in NT after doing most of the National Parks in between.
He wants to see Eungella National Park some 80kms SW of Mackay and I have agree to travel south with him for a few days before resuming my camping above Townsville. He then will hitch further south to see other National Parks on his list before flying out from Brisbane on the 6th September.
This is a fine camping place with lot of room for even the biggest rigs so I had no problem with the Hi Ace, Steven had reserved a spot with his tent and I parked nearby.   John

Looks good John.  Great Pics. as usual.   Don't let Steven go wandering in the Eungella Nat. Park on his own.   They're still looking for some-one who is lost there at the moment.  Very thick bush there.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Bluewater is a really nice spot - and great that you have met back up with Steven - some good places to stay at Eungella, but as Sheba says, be careful - don't want to lose you.

Have revisited Bluewater Park and copied my blog post:-

"Drove here from home hill yesterday and met fellow grey nomad doug just above townsville so here I am again at bluewater park There is a car show here today just  across from where I am camping so I have just been across and look around the various exhibits have taken photos of some that attracted my attention  I am still experimenting with mobile blogger here I am sitting in the sun talking to my smart phone trying to remember how to post pictures the last 1 was too small so I will try to correct that

(Returned to check out the post from the laptop but the grammer and punctuation leaves a lot to be desired but I will improve with practice I hope"

Had a visitor this afternoon GST called in having seen this blog post is living near by and decided to surprise me, I have invited Greg to join us tomorrow in Townsville for the meetup with Doug and Chris.           John    2012-08-12%25252010.36.46.png2012-08-12%25252010.35.19.png2012-08-12%25252010.33.45.png
