Time to move on again ..

Talk about itchy feet .. Got to Tamworth Last Year .. well.. it was the 28th Dec 2011.

Lovely visit but 5 weeks sittin' still in populated area is enough .. Heading off on Wednesday to Mudgee .. then back to Macquarie Woods for a while .. peace and solitude again ..

I kin almos' hear dem bells of the forests callin' me home .. gonna have to get 'em to give me a PO box 'cause I love it there ..

.. I'm not doin' too much at the moment now that the CM Festival is over .. sometimes I do even less and have to finish the next day .. or two ..

hmmmmmmmm  .. hic!

Jonnie

Can understand your sentiments exactly "Jonnie" don't like cities or big towns either.  I much prefer to outback actually.

Haven't stopped at Macquarie Woods YET but have been going past there for many years to visit rellos in Orange.  Will take the van next time and spend a couple of days.

I've been finkin' .. I'm gonna start a new fad .. just imagine driving in to a free-camping area .. only a few units onsite .. but one has a great letter box out front on a post .. might even put up a front gate beside it .. fence not needed though .. could have a bell on the gate for when visitors drop in ..

Now jus' wurkin' on a name to put on the gate now.. whatya reckon ?

Jon

thats cool, brian .. Its my new project too .. a white gate with maybe a small arch above with plastic grapes etc ..

I was thinking maybe just a small sign on the gate saying "CARETAKER" and "Beware of Dog"

I don't know where this could end up eh ! .. another sign could be "GN Registrations"  .. the list goes on ..

One of the permanent sites in this park has a letter box. Just for fun. We collect the mail at the office.

I just hung my boots on the fence, didn't think of a sign.

Got a few laughs though.

After you sojourn in the bush, where will you be heading to?

Wherever you go and whatever you see, have fun Jon. When I finally get out onto the road will keep an eye open for the white picket fence and letter box.

yep .. a short picket fence sounds ideal .. problem solved .. just put in a small shed for the Ark ..

The gate should read .. " the end is nigh .. book your tickets.."

This is what my youngest brother did to his older brother. He knew nothing about it til he came out in the morning. We also videoed him coming out and discovering it. The look on his face was priceless!

Classic one Beth .. I did mention to a few of them at Greens lake that I wanted to do that to the toilet block so that we were the only ones could use it ..

This Greens Lake place sounds so good, must visit in the near future. We live in Central Vic so not that far away. Use to live in Tat so know the area but never been there.

GS, why have you got your underpants hanging on the back of your van? biggrin

Silly question really.

Here are some pics of our fence and gate, we store it on the roof
