You can get stoned just walking down the street in Nimbin! The Rainbow cafe is an eye opener to a country boy like me. I saw my first transvestite there!Go to the bottom pub on a saturday nite, its a blast! Turntable falls is nice , also. Lovely country.Bill

Isn,t Nimbin in Transalvania, somewhere in the deep south.I think the deep voice, and the beard, and the hairy chest sort of convinced me.There are some rather strange people around in Nimbin...............

don't worry, I've never been known to pass on anything spicey - in fact I have been often very falsely accused of adding the spice in the first place.

I had several friends who lived long term in Nimbin in the 70's. I went up there a few times between 75 and 79 and it was a really nice place, clean, creative and friendly and welcoming. My friends had properties out of town but there were really interesting studios, coffee shops which also functioned as forums and meeting places, lots of creative stuff happening there. The pub was great as well, it seemed a good place for the old farmers to mix with the new people coming into town.

It's really sad to see the end of a really good vision and dream.
