RE: X FACTOR ..

Think it was on not long ago Marj.  Will ask my neighbours in the morning as they are originally from Parkes and go back for the festival each year

I am working near there and asked the same question, as far as I know it's around January.

I don't think it was that long ago Brian. Tamworth is in January. I think Elvis was only a couple of months ago.

Elvis is alive and well, and living in Tyabb, Victoria (calls himself Leo)!!!!!!
Elle - could not think who PPM were - went Duuuuhhh when you answered.

Queen tribute show was amazing - the guy who did Freddie must have been a clone - he was absolutely fantastic - sang, pouted, posed, strutted, flirted exactly like Freddie - the rest of the band were pretty good as well - they all did solo pieces - the whole audience sand, clapped, screamed, some danced - one guy - very macho looking - even turned around and wiggled his bum at Freddie - would go and see it all over again.
Going back to Twin Towns to see Four Kinsmen (only 2) and the Wickedy Wack show in November - and then to see John Williamson in December - friend has a unit at Tweed South - so no need to pay for accommodation - bonus! (he's the one I go to the shows with- good friend).

Maybe he's here in the Echuca Bunnings. The lady who runs the cafe told me they call him Elvis because of his hair.

Absolutely Milo - I spotted the resemblance in a pic you posted of you and Crusin Granny a couple of weeks ago. Don't forget Elvis used to dye his hair black because he wanted to look like his mum and also asked Priscilla to dye hers as well. His natural colour was closer to yours. Speaking of Elvis to the Max I got to see his show 4 times in 1995 as part of my job when I was a support rehab worker and took various clients to see him - not a bad job I thought.

I went to Parkes in 97 and 98 - great fun and they had a big night at Gracelands. There was a great young impersonator in 97- couldn't have been more than 12 or 13 yo and he stole the show..... can't remember who won the competition, they were all great. Speaking of impersonators I saw a female Elvis impersonator in Adelaide in 1992 called Elvis Herselvis. She was excellent. I wonder if she is still around.
