Coffee 'n' chat

Just back from having coffee and a long chat with Billeeeee - in Beaudesert - what a lovely man - you will all like him - he is great to talk to and a great talker, very interesting.

He's on his way down south - first stop Murwillimbah - then Coffs - and wherever the mood takes him from there - but will be at Gunbower later on.

Say g'day to him if you meet him along the way.

Me too Jules. 7 of us met up for coffee and a chat this morning. I think it lasted 3 hours or close to it.
Myself, Ken & Lyn Thomas, BarbandDaz, and BobandBev. Quite a group, it is a very warm day here, reached 20 degrees, sitting out in the sun at the bakery in front of Moama safeway.
Its great catching up with other nomads so we know who we are talking to on here. Barb has photos, as usual I forgot my camera.

No you're not Jules.  That's me.  Enjoyed meeting Norma today, and had a coffee and chat.   She's an easy person to talk to.  Couple of hours went way too fast.

Had the Camera with me, but didn't even think of it.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Hey Pam, thanks for the phone call, great to hear a voice now cant wait for the face.

Just reading the meet up that's been going on around the place and maybe, just maybe, we might be lucky enough to rope some of the others into meeting in Toowoomba next week as well, what do you think?

So, if anybody will be in the Toowoomba region towards the end of next week let Travel Bug (Pam) or myself know and we can do some co-ordinating.

Not exactly sure if we will be there by then Jules, will just have to see how we are travelling.  We won't be leaving here till Sunday and we are going via Wagga to see my great grandaughter and then on through West Wyalong and up the Newell Highway through Warwick.

Hi all,   I seem to have missed everyone in my travels and over more than 5 months since I left home I haven't met up with anyone damn it.........nobut I am hoping I will be able to make it to Gunbower for the catch up there in November.

I will be leaving Cairns on Sunday and heading to the beach caravan park near Rollingstone for a few days then sadly will be making my way back to Vic over a week or so via the Leichhardt and Newell Hwy so if anyone is in that area give me a shout please

Even though I haven't met up with anyone else on this site I have met some really lovely people along the way and can't wait to be able to set off again one day in the future.

Happy travelling everyonesmile

Hi Pauline how are you, I am so sorry I hadn't forgotten you but it seems so long ago and because of our other connection I was forgetting that we first met on this forum.  How are your travels going did you end up going to St George?

I must point out to everyone I met up with Pauline for a lovely lunch at the Canungra pub just before easter and feel really bad that it had slipped my mind when I first posted on this thread, I can only blame old age or maybe its all the alcohol I've consumed over the last few months!!!!!!!!!!!!!confuse

Well as long as it is the alcohol I will forgive you, cannot believe that it was Easter, it will be Xmas before we know it and then there goes another year in our very short lives or so it seems. Yes we did a trip away for 3 weeks went out western Qld, St George, Windorah up to Longreach over to Emerald and a lot of lovely places in between, was great but had to come home. We have put the big trip off till next year, just didn't seem to be the right time, a few problems with son and heir, but I have been keeping an eye out for you in your travels, will be hard to go back to Victoria after all the warm weather you must have been enjoying, how will you cope with that.
I hope it all went well with your van and you have not had too many problems though I did read about your stalker. Keep in touch
Pauline

Hi gillyb maybe come on here more often and tell the others where you are. You never know who might be in the same vicinty at the same time as you and can hook up.
Had a lovely afternoon with Barbanddaz and Ken and Lyn Thomas again today. Lunch at the Sportsmans Club in Moama, chatted for a few hours and a walk around the new botanical gardens being built.. The sun was out the temp was high, a delightful day.
Whose heading this way next??

I have it on good authority that Gnome and Basil will be in your town around the 28th I think Marj.
