New Van (Secnd hand)

Well, I finally did it.  Went to Sydney today to pick up. Ford Transit Van.  Still need to get some confidence up.   Son drove it home for me.  But I am getting better in Sydney traffic.  lol

  Really pleased with it.(and excited).

Congrats Chichi. How exciting. Photos please and tell us all about it. Make a nice change from me rambling on about Myrtle.
I would be just as excited driving through Sydney which is something I never want to do.

congrats Chichi , they do take a while getting used to , I know going from my mazda 2 to our motor home etc
one suggestion if it didnt come with it is invest in a rear view camera, not just a reversing one , rearview cameras like
we have stay on all the time so you can see whats behind you at all times
have fun..

For some reason I always think they have to have a girls name, but maybe not. How about George.?

Not really mansion or palace. Can only carry two, and even then I think it would be too squashy. I like Chacha but not sure it quite fits. I also like George. It looks like a George. lol

WooHoo CC!!! Many happy travels! smilesmilesmile

Funny how we name things... D's Prado somehow became "Thumpy" and my Mazda2, since it was only a speed hump in comparison with the Prado, became "Humpy". When deciding which vehicle to take , we'd ask "Shall we Hump or Thump?" Raises a few eyebrows! biggrin

As long as eye brows are all that's raised, in public at least.
Do you have a hobby you could call on for inspiration?
A favourite relly you'd like to remember fondly on your travels?
How you feel when you're driving it along the open road? Chirpy, smiley mum, happy gran etc...........
I called myself CG because I'm a granny driving a cruiser doing a lot of cruisin'.
The van is a Roma - no surprises there.
I'm not quite sure how the cruiser became "Rosy", except I found some rose decals which is stuck to the front fenders because she's a girl's truck.
These vehicles become such a close, even intimate part of our day to day lives that we relate to them. Well I do. I chat to Rosy as we go, I talk to Tom when he's misleading me into the scrub, and my chat isn't always polite.
This week poor Rosy is undergoing some major repairs to her front end, with not an implant in sight. Next week I'll be poor, but she'll be ok again, and all safe for my new job.
No matter how old or how many kms they've done, if we depend on our vehicles we must look after them. I can't afford to replace her, so tender loving care is the way to go.
