This is a serious query. I am about to start travelling in a campervan and want to take my small aquarium. Has anyone done this, if so what were the problems you encountered. Having lived in a unit I couldnt have cats or dogs so the fish are my pets and I dont want to give them away.
Firstly, welcome to the Grey Nomads. Secondly, I hope the fish don't get travel sick. I suppose if you have room, and can handle the weight there's no reason why you can't take the fish. As long as the tank or bowl doesn't slush all over the van as you travel. The roads aren't all smooth and flat. There are bumps, ruts and pot holes everywhere, not to mention the speed humps. If your fish and their tank are capable of handling this treatment, go for it. Do you think the fish would suffer irreparable psychological damage if you wet a line in a nearby beach or river and caught something for tea? Now, you have to keep us all informed of how you managed, and, of course, how the fish coped.

Welcome.. As also a pet fish lover. There is the problem of aeration of the tank water if u don't have power. You can buy a battery [as in torch batteries] operated pump. But I found to save all that hassle, I had a fighter fish in a small, lidded tank, that fits securely in the sink while travelling, they prefer unaerated water. The only problem with fighter fish, is they don't like great changers in temperature. So at the moment I am pet fish free....
