Aussie Baby Boomers?

Who are they?  Anyone can tell me more about them?

Hi Beams, if you google Baby Boomers that gives a definition of what Baby Boomers are and years when they were born.

From what I have read here, a number of members of this forum have joint membership of both this forum and the other one, which as far as I know is only a social forum and nothing to do with caravanning although many have that shared interest.

This is the link for Aussie Baby Boomers if you want to take a peek, it was on one of the other posts here, see;

Baby Boomers was set up sort of in protest at the lack of administration by the administrators of GN during a particularly controversial time over a now defunct topic.
It is only a social site albeit a very friendly and interesting social site.
Boomers and Nomads share forum contributors.

Thanks Cully & Crusin Granny.

Always so informative. Thanks for clarifying this for me. Makes sense, I guess. I already belong to CMCA and the GREY NOMADS. I guess that's enough company for one Grey Nomad. And by the way I am truly Grey - no more dyes for me. . .LOL!! Freedom in all its forms. . .

Your in one of the largest RV Clubs in Oz Beams, and as you know they have a singles travelling group as well.   A good complement for Grey Nomads forum singles.  The CMCA do a lot of good for the RV community, including the joint setting up and organising of dump points.

Yep Cully, I agree. It is a good club. I am just as happy to meet couples as singles on the road. Quite often I find it is easier to talk to the opposite sex when they are accompanied by their partners cause there are no undertones. Just a friendly chat!

I found them a very informal friendly group, the Baby Boomers that is. I gather a lot of them are in both forums.

Yes but you have to join them to be in it and I was told they don't have a solo's area so what would the solos do? They would have to all be in together. I don't think that waould be much good.

Hi SS,

I am a solo traveller but I find that to stick to solo travellers would be limiting.  I belong to 2 clubs [not the BBs as I feel I cannot keep up with 3 clubs] and I have gained much knowledge and interesting chit chat from both.  I enjoy the company of the solos and the paired-ups.

But if you are mainly interested in Solo travellers, you can soon work out who is solo and who is not from the posts you read.

Grey Nomads is a great little group.

Cheers

Beams

Seaman Staines has just replied to a topic you have subscribed to entitled Aussie Baby Boomers? on The Grey Nomads Forum.

This topic is located at:
http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?aBID=51933&p=3&topicID=33996712

This - the above - is what I got in the mail.  But I can find nothing that was added to the topic since I wrote in it last.

Has anyone else found any additions since my post of Sun Mar 21 or is the ActiveBoard computer gone potty?

Cheers,

Beams

Doesn't make sense Beams.......it just repeats what is already on the thread here ??? confuse

I agree with you Beams, I have been both a solo and paired traveller and it doesn't really matter what you are, the average traveller accepts you for what you are, not your solo/paired status.smile

Sorry Seaman Staines, I think you are wrong, although it is fine to have a singles section I don't agree it is necessary and is a bit of a pain in the butt having to jump from one section to another for basically the same info.  But good luck to you if you think it is better, each to their own. confuse

Hmmmm!  solos! sounds exclusive, isn't it better to be all in a big friendly interactive group where no one is excluded just because they are single. We have singles in our caravan club and they dont have a special "singles" section they are part of the club and are accepted as members by everyone.

"just my hunble opinion"
And yes I belong both to this forum and ABB and enjoy both
