RE: selling up to hit the road but in need of advice

Hi Violet,
You are probably all set up and on your way by now. I have done trips of 3 to 4 weeks at a time with my dogs and found that it all works out well with practice.

I have an 18ft van and set it up with the annex at a spot. I have dog crates that I set up in the annex for some of them tp sleep in and I took them in the station wagon when I went out. It is very easy to go shopping etc with the dogs and NO ONE will try to steal the car!

You do get a great feeling of security and friendship with your four legged family. I find having the seperate vehicle/van system is good as I can get into undercover carparks where the dogs have plenty of shade, I can travel quickly and 'duck' into places that would be difficult otherwise. Then I can go 'home' where my van is set up with the dinner cooked in the slow cooker while we have been out.

There is a good book called 'camps 5', you can get it from the NRMA, that has a list of camp sites and ticks the ones that are dog friendly. I am still waiting for my new vehicle so I can take off on longer jaunts befor the big one.

Cheers
Allara

The post from Paresh111 is an advertisement and as such will be deleted by Cindy as soon as she sees it I would imagine.
