Solo Merry Xmas

Its hard, its upsetting, but its Xmas

For those that have family, go to them and enjoy. Overcome the problems

The rest, we are family, its called orphans Xmas, and surprisingly celebrated everywhere. You are invited.

Thanks Bob. It's been my practice over the years to host an orphan's Christmas wherever I am at the time.
I'll be a bit sore recovering from surgery this time, but I'll be catching up with my family in SA when I feel up to travelling. Then I'll have Christmas and New Year.
You are right about keeping up with family. I have one of those dysfunctional families, but I try to keep the door open.
At this time of the year, for some reason, we really value family and friends. It doesn't matter when, as long as we do it. The pity is we don't do it all year round.
I hope you and Mon have a bloody bonza Christmas.

Count me in TwoBob smile.gif

I'm going to get my hammock out, grab a good book and glass of wine and give thanks for:
being able to enjoy our country and its wonderful sights and animals (-minus the bug bite I got a couple of weeks ago, that is still itchy),
meeting wonderful people,
and;
being able to get my hammock out, grab a good book and glass of wine.

Here's cheers
ZedJay

Thanks for the invite Bob, I will have to turn it down. we are fortunate to have a family Christmas and this year it is at our place. Only one member family will not be there, we go to theirs in Perth every other year. We will raise a glass in toast to the "orphans" on Christmas day. Merry Christmas.

Terro.

Merry Christmas to you all!
I'm heading to Freo, for a very quiet Christmas with my Son.
Off back to NZ for 6 weeks on 16 Jan, then back to WA.
After that ?????
Have a lovely one wherever you are!
Cheers,
Dianne

So its Xmas, alone but not lonely. Well sort of but its hard to explain to those that have family.

I have the bread rolls and pastries in the oven, first wine for the day (of many), new book waiting to be devoured, lifes good. Purchased some prawns (****e must get them out the freezer).

I have my favorite music playing (loud), in fact its the 'Big O' right now 'Mystery Girl', but also have Chicargo on the play list.

Benji my dog got an extra 'special' feed, but as me, this day is no different to him. We will walk later, have a great time, and sleep well tonight.

So what are you doing? If ya what a chat, us 'orphans' will be here today

I hope you all had a great day spending it how your like to spend it.
I was invited to share the day with some friends from Pt. Lincoln currently visiting family in Cairns.
While I'm still a bit wobbly, I had a great, fun day, shared with friends.
I also had a long chat to my middle daughter who is in Lincoln, which really made my Christmas Day.
While I'm an absentee parent, I always love them, no matter where I am, and I tell them, often. They tell me too.
Now we can all look forward to a new year. May 2010 be good to you. Chris
