Have decided to volunteer for a couple of weeks at Pine Creek Railway Museum - open 10 - 2 but entirely up to me I gather Do call in and say hello if you are passing through. Also recommend staying at Pussycat Flat - $15 single, $22 double, power, good company, bar open at 4pm each evening.

Well i am sorry to say i was wrong Its been very cold and i only packed qld winter gear and even though it is not winter here yet i have frozen my but off I have had to buy new warmer gear to keep warm have been gratefull for the blankets that we brought at lest i brought lots of them ha ha torquay we nearly got blow...

Has anyone noticed in Camps 7 that Balgal Beach, just north of Townsville, is a designated "Day only" area - No. 33 in the bible. Stayed there last year, and a great spot - right on a beautiful beach. Was very popular, people were lining up at 6am to get a spot when someone left (was 48 hr stay)....
