Plugs in CP's
(Preview)
I have noticed that a number of CP's amenity blocks quite often have no plugs for the basins. I carry 3 different sized rubber plugs cut from old car tubes. The three sizes make it easier to fit any plug hole. They have come in handy many times. They don't leak either. ( Old army trick) Kevin

12V Drill
(Preview)
I was on another forum (MySwag.org) the other day and a guy was going to throw out his rechargeable drill as the batteries were stuffed and it was going to cost more for the batteries than what the drill cost. So what he did, he simply soldered two wires to the positive and negative in the bottom of drill...

Some time back, I added a tip about using a Big-toothed Comb to open Ventilation Zips, in a Pop-top. [ Like an extension of your arm.] Well, the other week, I found something better, at the news-agent. A back-scratcher. $5.95. It's called a Bear Claw, [for obvious reasons.] and extends to 23 inc...

Towels.

This is really a tip from Kaid. Visited her yesterday, and she showed me some Large Micro-fibre Towels. Camping stores stock them, [I googled some last night.] and although not real cheap, they are very light-weight, and don't take up much space. I'm going to get a couple just for the Van tomorrow...

I always have some of this handy. It works, and is the same as the repairer I called used, the first time I had the problem. If I remember rightly, he charged me $70.00. At $19.90 a tube, it's a lot cheaper than getting some-one else to do it. Glass and Windshield Fix, from Magnamail Mail Order. Che...
