Fridge Temperature
(Preview)
I purchased a new van 6 months ago (not my first) and it's fitted with a Dometic RMDX25 fridge. Whether it's a hot day or cool day, whether it's running on LPG, 240v or 12v, it will not cool below 8 degrees, measured with a min/max digital thermometer. It has to be the fridge, not the power source and I am th...

(Preview)
My old coaster had a wis bang radio with all sorts of connectivity but would only pick up one fm station. It was always a good reception even in isolated areas where my radios normal struggle. Spent nearly a full day removing the old aerial (had to pull dash as whoever fitted it thought it was a good idea to...

sorting out a tug
(Preview)
My thoughts are either the s-line or r600 mack, like em both. Intend on towing a 3500kg off road van. Power and trans would be too much of a problem, just slot another combo in. Not sure how big of a transmission cooler I would need if I fit an auto trans (easier than a roadranger, better for the mrs). Have to...

On the website of Everything caravan and camping.com they have a download entitled - The national caravan and recreational vehicle towing guide edition 7. Red Arc Tow pro Question.
(Preview)
Trying out the emergency stop function of the "Tow Pro", I only felt a gentle braking of the van, reading the instructions, on auto mode that is correct and the braking force is relative to the setting. Does that mean to get strong braking of the van only by pushing the button, does one have to rotate the k...

Painting the vinyl stone guard?
(Preview)
The front vinyl stone guard on our 2003 Olympic Fulcher pop top is looking faded and tired. I'm worried replacing the existing vinyl might be very involved and that using chequer plate will be too expensive. I found one post where someone used Tautflex paint which is especially for vinyl and got good r...

Adding 2 stroke oil in Diesel
(Preview)
Hi .. Picked this up on a Patrol Forum. For me, it is of interest only as I have a petrol engine. It was suggested earlier on the thread, that in the older engines (non CRD) where petrol had inadvertently been put into the tank, after draining etc, a dose of 2 stroke was a good precaution. Do any of you 'oile...
