Once on the brink of extinction, simply because they tasted good, the Bustard is still uncommon in most regions of Oz. Elusive, and shy bird usually. This one near Streaky Bay/SA a week ago, and was obliging to my camera for a short period.....'till the Bustard Buggered Off

Pildappa Rock, Eyre Peninsula, Sth Aust, 15 klms North of Minnipa. Great place to camp, spectacular scenery around the rock, and from on top. Last one I can find, towards breakwater end, was behind kiln dry timber area. Rocks around 2 metres long and over 1 metre high. People were camping there up too 2012 after all the timber mill buildings were gone. Not me mate
